Inside Edge
Depth: Average 15m / Maximum 24m
Inside Edge is the Western side of Aliwal Shoal. It is a wall that drops from the main shoal about 6 meters onto the sand. Ledges, caves and overhangs provide shelter to many different species of fish. Fern, Black and Whip Coral provide the colorful backdrop to a beautiful dive.
Sightings in this area are varied, from turtles resting in caves, to lion fish, scorpionfish, the occasional sighting of a white tip reef shark, to rays passing by. Eel's hide in the crevices and many clownfish can be sighted.
With the right current the Inside Edge can be one of the most diverse dives along Aliwal Shoal.
