The Team
Blue Vision is a family run centre and prides itself in the close knit, friendly atmosphere which is largely down to the team's loyalty, good nature and their fun loving nature of course!
(Sorry, we are struggling to get all their mug-shots.....some may say it's because they are wanted in a number of countries, but we believe it's more to do with the fact they are really, REALLY shy!)
Ferdi
The Owner
Ferdi has been in the industry for 12 years as a PADI dive instructor and when he took over a one man dive charter 4 years ago he never quite dreamed how quickly Blue Vision would develop.
You'll usually catch him running between dives or playing with boat engines but he always has time for a friendly word.
Carol
The Centre Manager
Having come down for a break on the coast to see her son a few years ago, Carol has rapidly become the matriarch of Blue Vision. She is truly what keeps the centre on track and if she doesn't know it then it's not important!
Gareth
Skipper
Gareth has done more launches then most people have had hot dinners, and with his knowledge of the life in, and ways of, the sea he can make a trip out to dive as entertaining as the dive itself.
Without exception this guy is one of the best Aliwal has to offer - and he is all ours!
Dean
Dive Instructor
Dean is a new addition to Blue Vision. Qualifying as a PADI instructor in December 2008 he has the utmost patience with students and gets a thrill every time he takes someone into the ocean for the first time. When he's not instructing he can be found spearing off the beach for dinner.
Emmanual
Head of Ground Crew
Emmanual has been with Blue Vision as long as Ferdi has owned it and so knows the company backwards. If you have ever wondered who keeps the compressor running and ensures the boats and vehicles run smoothly, or how all the cylinders are filled for your dive...it's him.
Sifiso
Dive Master in Training
Sifiso came to Blue Vision with no clue about diving and is now working along side the whole team, from Ferdi to Emmanual, learning how the diving industry works. He can regularly be found helping out all around the centre and sneaking on as many dives as possible.
Glenn
Dive Master
Glenn arrived at Blue Vision as a PADI Rescue Diver wanting to become a PADI DM. He has been with us since September '08 and has picked up quite a tan. He's our double master; acting as permanent divemaster as well as the webmaster responsible for our site. |
